Privacy is built into NoNumber. You don't need to give us a phone number, email address, or real name to use the core service. The policy below explains, in full legal detail, the limited technical information we do collect to operate the service.
Effective date: 29 July 2026
NoNumber (“NoNumber,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a link-based calling and messaging service that lets people request and join live conversations without sharing a phone number. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited information needed to operate NoNumber.
- System-generated account information. When a user account is created, we may generate a random user number, avatar, display name, or similar internal identifier.
- Account and service metadata. We may store technical and administrative records such as account creation time, last updated time, link status, request status, user actions, room identifiers, and session or join history.
- Tokens and temporary access credentials. We may retain tokens, room-access credentials, and similar technical data until they expire or are no longer needed for security and service operation.
- Push notification data. If notifications are enabled, we may process a device push token and notification event data so we can notify a user when someone requests a call.
- Real-time communications data. To establish and deliver live calls, our communications infrastructure and service providers may process audio streams and related session metadata in real time.
- Purchase information. If you purchase digital features through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, the applicable store provider processes the transaction. We may receive limited transaction or subscription status information necessary to confirm your access to purchased features.
- Website analytics information. When someone visits our public marketing website, we may use Google Analytics to collect limited technical and usage information, such as pages visited, visit timestamps, browser and device type, network information, approximate geographic information, and cookies or similar analytics identifiers. Our website analytics implementation is configured not to send phone numbers, call-link tokens, user IDs, email addresses, names, query strings, URL fragments, private call or application routes, or arbitrary page content.
2. Information We Do Not Require for Core Use
NoNumber is designed to minimize the personal information users must provide. For the core calling flow, we do not require the other person to provide a phone number, email address, or real name. We also do not require users to provide a phone number for the core service.
3. How We Use Information
We use information we collect to:
- create and manage user accounts and call links;
- allow the other person to open a link, request a conversation, and join a room if approved;
- send call-request notifications to users;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service;
- use website analytics information to understand aggregate website traffic, improve performance, accessibility, content, and navigation, and troubleshoot website issues;
- prevent abuse, fraud, spam, or misuse;
- enforce our rules, terms, and age restrictions; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use website analytics for advertising, remarketing, or ad personalization.
4. Communications Providers and Other Service Providers
We may use service providers to help us operate NoNumber. These providers may process information on our behalf for functions such as live communications delivery, infrastructure hosting, notifications, subscription validation, security, and customer support.
If NoNumber uses LiveKit Cloud or another hosted real-time communications provider, that provider may process communications-related data and session metadata in order to deliver the live calling service.
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to measure use of the public marketing website. Google may process analytics-related device, browser, network, approximate location, cookie, and website-usage information on our behalf. We have configured Google Signals off, ads personalization off, advertising and remarketing features off, and tracking limited to approved public marketing routes.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information:
- with service providers that help us operate NoNumber;
- with Apple or platform operators as needed for subscriptions, app distribution, security, or compliance;
- when required by law, legal process, or governmental request;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of NoNumber, our users, or others; or
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Temporary tokens may be kept until they expire. Account metadata, room or join history, and related service records may be retained according to product settings, user choices, operational needs, or legal requirements.
Google Analytics event-level and user-level data retention is currently configured for 2 months, subject to operational or legal changes.
7. Account Deletion and Your Choices
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data, subject to any information we need to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons. Users may also manage device permissions such as notifications and microphone access through their device settings.
Browser settings may allow visitors to block or delete analytics cookies, though doing so may affect how analytics functions.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Adults Only
NoNumber is intended for adults and is not directed to children. NoNumber is intended for users age 18 and older. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18 in violation of our policies, we may take steps to delete the information and restrict access.
10. International Processing
Depending on where our systems and service providers operate, information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. By using NoNumber, you acknowledge that information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where required.
